I don't know from whom I found it, but there's a list called Mock The Stupid. I started reading it a while back and find it quite entertaining. Not often LOL level, but usually good for a chuckle.

Then tonight I read this:

"I used to have this friend. He was decidedly Gothic, bringing every single stereotype to life. He wore only black, swore he was a Satanist, talked about the blackness of his soul all the time.

So one day he comes to me to show me something he says is awesome. He rolls up his sleeve, and I start laughing as he tells me the Devil told him to carve this into his arm as a sign of worship.

It said "Satin".

My friend (a train driver) had just pulled into the station and was sitting around waiting for a bit (for passengers to get on and of etc. I guess, he was telling me this and he didn't say anything about why he was waiting). Anyway, the alarm on the train suddenly went off - the one that goes off when a passenger pulls the alarm thing on the train. The usual siren went off in my friend's ear, and he had to reset it. But then it went off again...and again...and again! He looked at one of the screens in the cab and noticed that they were going off in a pattern - down one side of the train, in fact. So he leaned his head out of the window to see what was going on, and lo and behold, a young man was running down the side of the train, hopping in to pull the alarm and then running down to the next to pull that, and so on. A guard was in the cab with my friend, so my friend went "come and look at this!" so the guard stuck his head out to see. The man spotted him, knew he'd been rumbled, and jumped onto the track to get away. Unfortunately for him, a slow-moving train was coming down the other track, and it hit him! Luckily he wasn't hurt, but it stunned him. Stupid idiot had it coming, I think - he faced a hefty fine for setting off the alarms, as well.

I think the alarm-puller might have a future ahead of him in the Darwin Awards... :P

We're back to the low $2.20s, on 8/10 I filled up at $2.23. So we're pretty much back to where we were before Katrina. When we were in Las Cruces over the weekend, it was 20-30 cents higher, I spoke with my mom in Phoenix today and they're also still at around the $2.50 level.
