Specifically three stitches and one HDR, all from JPEGs, though. I intend to work on the RAWs and recreate them: it's amazing what the difference is.
All are under the cut.
Except for this one.
This is from the top of the San Augustine Pass, east of Las Cruces, about 5800', looking SE towards El Paso, TX across the White Sands Missile Range (WSMR). When the wind is really blowing they'll close the pass because as the cars crest, the wind will come under them and flip 'em right over. And this is the second to last photo of the set, the rest are in the order shot. This image is a seven photo stitch with the camera held upright in portrait mode to get as much sky as possible. It was around 5pm, so the sun is behind part of the mountains but not down further south.

As usual, click any to embiggen.
This is taken from Steep Hill just below the tunnel going to Cloudcroft from Alamogordo, looking to the Northeast. This is a stitch of seven photos shot in portrait mode.

This is Southeast Las Cruces and the Organ mountains, also seen from the other side on the right side of the WSMR shot, this is also a seven shot stitch.

This is a Nike Zeus Anti-Ballistic Missile developed in the late 1950s and could've been seen deployed around several large American Cities. It would be equipped with a conventional warhead to (theoretically) shoot down Soviet bombers, or could be equipped with an atomic warhead to take out an entire formation. It flew at speeds greater than Mach 4. If you look closely at the lower left corner of the WSMR photo, you'll see this missile.
This is an HDR of 7 JPEGs taken at +/- 3 f stops.

Date: 2018-09-29 05:56 pm (UTC)Thank you! Photoshop does an excellent job of stitching and certainly deserves quite a bit of the credit there.
