Photos from yesterday's Las Cruces trip
Sep. 26th, 2018 09:29 pmSpecifically three stitches and one HDR, all from JPEGs, though. I intend to work on the RAWs and recreate them: it's amazing what the difference is.
All are under the cut.
Except for this one.
This is from the top of the San Augustine Pass, east of Las Cruces, about 5800', looking SE towards El Paso, TX across the White Sands Missile Range (WSMR). When the wind is really blowing they'll close the pass because as the cars crest, the wind will come under them and flip 'em right over. And this is the second to last photo of the set, the rest are in the order shot. This image is a seven photo stitch with the camera held upright in portrait mode to get as much sky as possible. It was around 5pm, so the sun is behind part of the mountains but not down further south.

As usual, click any to embiggen.
