Got back to my parents house from the convention a little while ago. Well, got back from dinner with old friends a little while ago, we left the convention some time after 6pm. Sunday was a nothing day for me, I had no demos scheduled. Slept in until I had barely enough time to shower, shlep out my stuff to the car, and check out of the hotel. Got some lunch, checked out a book store without spending a dime, and went back to the convention to fall unconscious in a comfy chair.

Later did an impromptu run of Waste of Celluloid, went quite well. Two returning players, three newbs. Lots of fun. All told, ran Waste of Celluloid four times over the convention, ran Zombie Cafe once, ran In Pursuit once, and Brown-Noser twice. Sold a couple of copies of Zombie Cafe and got an offer from a friend who owns an extremely good game store to sell it through them on consignment. I need to do some slight revision to the cards, cosmetic changes when you get down to it, then I'll send some off to The Game Depot.

VERY TIRED. Monday I've got a little business to take care of, then it's off to get a new PC for my dad. His took a power surge and is pretty messed up, so we're getting another and a UPS this time!

It's going to be a stone-cold bitch to catch up on people's LJs, so I'm probably just going to pull them up off my profile page and read them one at a time. So if you start getting replies to 2-week old posts, now you know why.

Ta!

Oh, I'm planning on doing DarkCon in January, had a lot of fun when I last attended it. Probably won't be doing HexaCon, and they screwed up the weekend for CopperCon, so I doubt I'll be doing that. I'm hoping to make it to Albuquerque's BuboniCon in November(?). Does El Paso have a regular SF/F con?

A quick Google revealed that El Paso hosted Westercon this year about a month ago. The only info I could find about a possible gaming convention was a post on the Hero Games forum. That was about a gaming convention last year, but you could contact that person for more information.

Turns out that the Chino's in Chandler is closed on Sunday. We went to the one up here for lunch today, Eve was there so I'm now square with her. ;-)

You went to a bookstore and didn't buy anything? Heretic. :)

I've been to three Bookman's locations and one Border's. I bought two books and a magazine at the Tucson Bookman's and nada in any of the other free.

Heretic and proud of it! ;-)

welcome back

Personally I loved zombie cafe. I hope it turns out to be a hit.
